WaveFront Technology Inc. operates a state-of-the-art holographic origination facility, fully equipped with in-house plate coating, a dedicated test laboratory, and a precision-controlled origination recording studio. Our studio can produce custom Holographic Optical Elements (HOEs), along with traditional and advanced security display holograms tailored to a wide range of applications.

To date, WFT has developed and recorded hundreds of diffraction gratings with varying spatial frequencies and modulation depths. Notably, we have engineered the world’s largest crossed diffraction grating—measuring 65″ x 65″—enabling the production of seamless holographic packaging materials at industrial scale.

Custom holographic images can be originated from scratch or created
through hybrid techniques that leverage our extensive library of proprietary holographic textures.

Recombine & Tooling

 WaveFront Technology Inc. offers advanced in-house tooling and recombining services, supporting the full production lifecycle of microstructured optical films. Our ultra-precision diamond turning facility enables the creation of custom flat, cylindrical, and prism-based tooling in materials such as acrylic, brass, copper, and nickel. We support high-fidelity master production and replication through roll-to-roll UV embossing, with feature sizes ranging from nanoscale to structures over 150 microns deep. 

Film widths from 6″ to 68″ and thicknesses from 12.5 to 300 microns are supported. Our recombining and drop-in tooling techniques allow for the efficient integration of complex or modular pattern elements, enabling flexible, high-volume production with exceptional surface fidelity and optical performance.

WaveFront Technology Inc. specializes in high-precision roll-to-roll (R2R) manufacturing of microstructured optical films using advanced UV-cure embossing processes.

Our systems support web widths from 6″ to over 60″ and film thicknesses ranging from 12.5 µm to 300 µm.

We can replicate surface relief features from nanometer-scale patterns up to 150+ µm in depth with exceptional fidelity. A wide range of polymer substrates is available, with optional metal or dielectric coatings to meet specific optical, security, or display requirements.

This scalable platform ensures consistent, high-volume production with tight control over optical performance and structural tolerances.

WaveFront Technology Inc. maintains a highly advanced engineering organization with strong optical‑physics foundations.  The engineering team consists of a large professional full‑time staff including PhD and master level optical physicists, engineers, metrology experts, QC specialists, and managers, with over 100 combined years of experience in high‑volume, high‑value optical component production. 

Their engineering skills span holographic optical element (HOE) design, surface relief microstructuring, prisms, Fresnel lenses, grayscale custom patterning, diamond‑turned prismatic and diffractive structures, and precision metrology.

The team supports full product development lifecycle — from optical design and prototyping through tooling, manufacture, quality testing, and converting.
